Medium edged bars are rectangular osmium bars that are crystallized out of the plane. This creates bars of different weights and surfaces. Each bar is unique as no identical pieces can be produced. The layer thickness of the bars is slightly different and produces a different sparkle due to the respective crystallization time which also determines the thickness. The dimensions are different for each bar.
Prior to delivery, boxes are pre-sorted by the Country's Osmium-Institute according to crystallization structure and surface uniformity. Oversupply, meaning an upwardly extended filling quantity, is packed as a substitute for discounts for large volumes.
Osmium jewellery is offered by more and more jewellers. Osmium is treated the same way as diamonds and gemstones. Each jeweller and jewellery manufacturer has the opportunity to order almost any shape. The shapes can be very creative. Manufacturing guidelines need to be followed when fitting osmium.
The bear is a cut osmium shape that can be applied to surfaces or collected as a cutting pattern. It is available in a defined form that can be modified if desired. A different size is a special order and must be ordered from the Landes-Osmium-Institut. Other shapes can be viewed here.
